Terry Wingrove Seminar - Leeds, Sunday 8 July 2007

Hopefully the first of many seminars in Leeds with Sensei Terry Wingrove, this session was well attended. Students on the course ranged from 9th kyu to 6th dan, with a mix of different arts (Karate, Ju-jitsu, Tai-jitsu and Aikido).

The group was separated into two - so those that had trained with Sensei Wingrove previously could work on new material, while those who were new to his methods could have a proper introduction to his techniques and ideas.

Once again, special thanks to Jim and Julie Reece of Kaizen Martial Arts for making their excellent dojo in Stanningley available for the seminar. Not to mention the fact that they were on hand to ensure that things ran smoothly, even though they only got back from holiday a few hours before.

And finally, as the seminar was so well attended, we are pleased to announce that we were able to donate £200 of the proceeds to the local PDSA Hospital. Many thanks to everyone involved who made this possible.

For information on future seminars contact Mike Flanagan in order to be added to our seminar notification list.

Meanwhile, check out the pics below showing just a few of the many painful moments of the day.
